| There are two spectrums on this - Sure, Google allows any app to go on to the market - they leave it up to the community to 'say' what's a good app and what isn't by the rating system. Apple, on the other hand, makes you jump through hoops to deploy anything - if they let you at all. And, God forbid your idea is similar to one they have in the pipeline......they deny you and you're SOL. There are pros and cons to both, but I prefer to have the flexibility to build and deploy the apps that I want to - not what they say they'll allow me to. I think it's a bit unfair to charge for access to build apps, then take a 30% cut in the sale, then tell me I can't deploy the app I built because it somehow infringes on a future idea they have. Communists. For the record, I'm a Windows phone guy.
